The Hip Hop head activists she was surrounded by insisted she release what became her debut track "Gang Warfare" about police brutality. She continued to gain steam on multiple sites from 2014-2016 until she met Dr Dre's estranged son and her and her then-boyfriend Adam (artist name DiesmAe) now-fiance began working with him.
That took her out of everything she loved (music, activism, creativity) and into everything she didn't care for (the industry end of the industry) but she learned a lot and since they had essentially built his label for him, when they quit she build their own Delyric Entertainment LLC.
She released the freestyle "Stepped Up" and then "Vortex with Young Noble, a member of 2Pac's Outlawz and Bossolo which was premiered by Nerve DJs to rave reviews and has now been re-released by her friend DJ King Assassin, who was 2Pac's DJ when he went under his previous moniker 'Po-Nitty'.
She briefly stepped away from the industry and returned with renewed passion and effortless versatility that is packing quite a punch. Her upcoming singles include 2 Spanish songs, more of her traditional faster-than-Twista style conscious lyricism, but also some new UK electronic styles and drum n bass, some flamenco based music, dancehall, and even alternative and rock, along with trap.
She has said that she finally relaxed and listened to more new music than she had been allowing in (the only artists she respected that had come out in the last decade or two were Pusha T, Big Sean, J Cole, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar who she had been a mega fan of before he blew up, along with a select few others). She now listens to "Everything!" Some she likes, some she doesn't, but she has set the judgement aside. Her current favs include Da Baby and Pop Smoke.
